About

Born in 1946 in Russia, whereto her parents fled during the second World War. Arrived in 1949 (with parents) in Israel, where she graduated from High School and after military services graduated from the Hebrew University of Jeruzalem.

After obtaining her PhD degree in Medical Sociology at the State University of Utrecht (The Netherlands) she was a staff member of the Faculty of Medicine and Counselor on the Rambam Academic Medical Center in Haifa, Israel. In 1984, after the Lebanon War, she returned to the Netherlands with husband and 4 children.

In 1985 she started, as an autodidact, her sculpture work. She works mostly with clay, but also with plaster, cement and wax; many of these sculptures are later casted in bronze. She figures human beings, feelings, and relationships. Sources of inspiration are her personal experiences in the past as well as present events as communicated through newspapers, radio and television.
